Praesepe to support Bacta Charitable Trust

Milton Keynes-based gaming company Praesepe has announced that it will begin to support the bacta Charitable Trust, which helps a number of charities including Rays of Sunshine, the Teenage Cancer Trust, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Bacta (British Amusement Catering Trade Association) is the trade body representing the interests of Britain’s amusements and High Street gaming manufacturers and operators. They aim to present an ethical, sustainable and professional representation of themselves and the industry.

Over the past three years, the bacta Charitable Trust has raised over £350,000 for Rays of Sunshine alone, which grants wishes for children with life-limiting or serious illnesses.

Mark Schertle, chief operating officer for Praesepe said: “We’re proud to start working with the bacta Charitable Trust. The support and funding they provide to the family, friends, employees and patients of the hospitals and charities they support is truly amazing. It’s exciting to see just how much we can raise across our Praesepe, Cashino and Beacon Bingo brands.”

Jimmy Thomas, Chairman of the bacta Charitable Trust said: “We’re thrilled and very grateful to have Praesepe give support to the Charitable Trust and the amazing charities it fundraises for. Together, I’m sure we will be able to raise a lot of money for each charity, and through that help many more young and people affected by cancer across the UK.”
